Terms and sources

This is not the official site of Brașov city hall or its council, and it is not the official local gazette. It is an independent project that reads the documents the council publishes and explains them. The version that counts legally is always the council's own document, which every page links to directly.

Where the data comes from

From two public sources: the adopted decisions, from the city hall's electronic register, and the session minutes, published as PDFs on brasovcity.ro. Every fetched document is archived and its sha256 published alongside the record, so anyone can verify exactly which file was read. We currently cover 21 sessions and 1415 agenda items, generated 2026-08-29.

What is and is not guaranteed

The rule the whole system follows: a figure appears here only if it appears literally in the source document. Nothing is computed, estimated or filled in. Where the document is silent the field stays empty — we do not put a zero and we do not guess. The percentages on the analysis page are the only numbers we compute, and each is shown beside both original amounts so it can be checked by hand.

Even so, automated extraction from PDFs can be wrong: a poorly scanned table, unusual wording, a decision published in a different structure. We do not guarantee completeness or accuracy and accept no liability for decisions taken solely on the basis of this site. Check the official document before anything that matters. If you find an error, tell us — we will fix it.

Minutes, which carry the votes, are usually published weeks or months after a session. Until then a session may appear here with its decisions but without votes. Where that is the case, the page says so explicitly.

Reuse

The council's acts are public documents and nobody owns the facts in them. The derived text — the plain-language summaries, the structure, the annex descriptions, the analysis series — is produced by this project and offered under CC BY 4.0: copy it, republish it, use it commercially, provided you credit “Monitorul Local” and keep the link to the original page. The full set is at open data, with attribution carried inside every record.

Comments and votes

Comments belong to their authors. We remove comments containing personal attacks, incitement to hatred, third parties' personal data, or spam. Votes are a rough measure of reader interest, not a poll: they are counted once per visitor, but we verify nobody's identity and they should not be read as representative.

How to reach us

Through the form at the foot of any page. It asks only for an email address and a subject, and what we do with them is set out in the privacy notice. We answer requests about personal data within one month at the latest.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Romanian law, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the legislation on access to public-interest information. If any part of this text is found invalid, the rest stands. Using the site means you accept these terms; if you do not, the official sources are linked from every page and are available to you directly.

Corrections

If a page misrepresents a document, write to us with the decision number and what is wrong. We fix the extraction and republish. We cannot change the original document — only the issuing authority can do that.
