Privacy

The site works without an account. We do not track you across sites, show no advertising, profile nobody and sell nothing. The only personal data we hold is what you give us.

Who is responsible

The controller is Florin Cerchez, acting as an individual. Write through the contact form at the foot of the page; we answer within a month.

What we collect

  • If you subscribe: your email address. Basis: your consent. We keep it until you unsubscribe — one click in any message — and then delete it.
  • If you write to us: your email address, the subject and the message. Basis: your consent. We keep them until the matter is dealt with.
  • If you vote on a decision: a random number, so the vote counts once. It contains nothing about you. Basis: our legitimate interest in one vote per visitor.
  • If you comment: you sign in with Google and we receive your display name and profile picture, shown beside the comment. Basis: your consent.
  • Everyone who visits: we count how many times each page was opened, per day. What is stored is the page address, the day and a number — no cookie, no IP address, nothing that links one visit to another.

Audience measurement

We may use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to see what gets read. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to tell visits apart and sends the page address to Google; Vercel Analytics sets no cookies but sends the page address to Vercel. Both load only if you accepted. If you refused, or did not answer, neither loads at all. Basis: your consent, which you can change here at any time.

Cookies

We use no advertising cookies. Ours are three: ml_consent2 remembers your answer above; ml_vid is set at the moment you vote, so the vote counts once; and if you sign in to comment, the session cookie that sign-in requires. If you accepted audience measurement, Google Analytics also sets its measurement cookies (_ga, _ga_*), valid for up to two years. Your theme choice (light or dark) is saved in your browser and never reaches us.

Who else sees the data

Vercel hosts the site, Neon hosts the database, Resend sends the email, and Google handles sign-in for comments only. None of them receives the data for its own purposes, and we give it to nobody else.

Where it is stored

Our database is in Frankfurt, inside the European Union. The data you give us stays in the EU. The public pages are copied to servers in several countries, as with any site, but they contain only public documents, not data about you.

Names in the decisions

The decisions we publish are public acts and sometimes contain people's names — in a housing allocation, for instance. We publish them as they appear in the official document and add nothing. We build no pages about individuals and do not index the names of private persons; entity pages cover institutions and companies only. If you appear in a decision and it troubles you, write to us.

Your rights

You can ask to see what data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to receive it as a file. You can withdraw a consent you gave at any time, without affecting what happened before. Write through the contact form at the foot of the page. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to ANSPDCP, the supervisory authority.
